Not sure if anyone is likely to see this so long after the fact, but I’ll try anyway. What is the significance of there being two amulets? I’m confused what it means.
This was covered in the werewolves retelling of their family history, but when a new child of their clan is born, not only will it have their parent’s were-curse, but the pendant the Wotch gave them, that lets them keep their human mind while transformed will duplicate itself, so the child can have their own pendant.
After literal centuries, the full-blooded members of the Wolf family (as opposed to other weres they’ve adopted in, like Katie) don’t really need the pendants anymore; the magic merged with their bloodline, but the younger were-bloodlines still need it, and the ancient Wotch’s protective enchantment keeps making new pendants for them; a promise kept. The Wolf clan is grateful enough that they have a ritual retelling of the story every winter to remember it.
