A question, since Robin already used an AI to produce the ‘naga pirate captain Anne’ image…
In theory you could probably feed all of the original comics into ChatGPT, or Gemini or any other AI generator that makes images suitable for comics (not Midjourney) and train it to the comic’s style. Especially if you’re producing pages strictly for the art only, and plan on adding in any visual effects and dialogue yourself, which reduces the generational strain on the AI and typically leads to more accurate and error free images.
ChatGPT has gotten much better in general about perfectly transcribed dialogue and having lesser errors.
Just a thought. I was trying to find a way to contact Robin directly about this, but couldn’t. But this could be a viable way to carry on the comic. I know people have feelings about AI but it’s here and isn’t going to go anywhere, so you may as well utilize the tool if there’s any desire to carry on the comic. Or at least finish the previous story arc since it seemed to be almost at the end.
So. You know. Robin if you’re reading this, feel free to drop me a line to talk about it if you’re interested.
Bonk
Is the Wotch going to continue from here, or was that the final ending?
