A question of leverage, I think. He had four limbs to get his front out the window, but his rear half is caught because horse legs can’t move the way human legs can, and all he can do is pull with his front legs, since there’s nothing further away than the wall to grab onto.

Strange that he got the horse’s chest and belly through the window, but not the comparatively smaller hips.
