Finally. So Jason is going to become a chimera? Or a Cyclops? Or a unicorn? I’m just curious why Anne and her two friends are aware of the changes in reality, and not others.
I’m feeling faun/satyr, but that’s just my opinion.
I’m thinking, based on that hair, perhaps valkyrie.
well for Annie, it’s because she’s the Wotch, Chaos magic won’t affect her perception. for the other two, because they hadn’t caught the “virus” i’d wager the bookstore guy will know something changed too.
Given the history I would say Saytr.
Looking too female, I’m withholding my final opinion until I have more data.
I’m thinking a Valkyrie
Looks like Jason is turning into Sonja and her shoes now look like women’s uggs with that furry lining. I noticed that the hair is reddening too and getting longer.
There could also be a mythology cross too with Sonja, as her hand seems to be covering her eyes this could be alluding to her becoming a cylclops.
The red is an indication of transformation occuring. Look at the red edges where the slacks are becoming a skirt.
Might be that Jason is not turning into Sonja but a different female.
Why does everyone thing Jason’s been transformed into a mythical being? She just looks like a human in winter clothes to me; I’m thinking Freya or Frigg.
Miranda and Cassie have been transformed into characters from mythology by two gods from that mythology system. Things are going to get messy.

That old familiar change,
Spreading over his form.
Yet somehow it’s strange.
Beyond the usual ab-norm.
Clothes shift and slide,
Thoughts not her own,
Her/his identity denied?
Is this Sonja unknown?

I don’t know where this is going, but I like where this is going!

Sonja has been a satyroid before.
And this is why gods are jerks.
If you play by the rules they’ll change them and if you don’t they’ll punish you.
And that’s if they even tell you the rules.
Please don’t smite me.
My mythology books generally describe satyrs as half man, half horse, while a fan is half man, half goat. Female versions didn’t exist. Look up the term “satyriasis.”. The female equivalent to a Saturday was a nymph (hence “nymphomania”), and looked generally human, but very voluptuous. Eldon Dedini used to draw cartoons of these creatures for Playboy, generally of fauns, judging from the cloven hooves.
What’s happening to Jason/Sonja isn’t so clear. The brown stuff on his/her back, separate from the blonde hair, is odd. But the footwear doesn’t comport with either kind of hoof, horse or goat.

Is Sonja gonna be a Valkyrie? If so, she’ll be bound by what a Valkyrie is SUPPOSED to be doing.
Is ALL THE PLANET affected? Or just Tandy Gardens? I THINK THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION THAT NEEDS ANSWERING IN STORY!
Well, a Valkyrie should be conducting the souls of deceased Norse warriors to Valhalla, if they were sufficiently brave. Doesn’t seem like that would be relevant to the present story, though.
Well, at least he’ll end up a redhead again, let’s hope he gets to keep his mind.
So nobody is thinking about Anne ?
Just saying but just causer her perception is not affected doesn’t mean she is immune to those effects and I do want to point out you can see half of her body so who knows if something is going there as well .
I do believe this is the first time (at least since the Uricarn incident) that Jason’s been in a fem form that wasn’t specifically Sonja. Curious…
