Miranda mind seems a bit foggy. Guess we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get some answers as to what’s going on.

Miranda’s identities start to loosely unfold,
The stud-limbed ride confused, and thinks it a mare
The pedagogy of vigilance in waging warfare;
The hack bestial affliction, file under cursed
Artfully passionate, intensely reversed.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely The Wotch will rise to command.
The Wotch! Hardly are those words in play
When tasked to imagine comic spirit us Monday.
Troubles my sight: somewhere in Tandy seize Anne,
A shape with lion body and head of a man,
A day’s prank or incantation endlessly done,
It’s movement while slow, belies it’s only begun,
Real shadows be malignant in the oceans of words.
The darkness drops again; over mythical herds
Of aplenty centaurs to make brony weep
Were-vexed by knight-mares flocking like sheep,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
I know not in the least, until this next week is passed.

Well, there are a lot of facts that fly into the face of the dislogic that is being presented as reality here, so there is good reason for a breakdown.
Since Mercury is involved, shouldn’t she know the definitive version?
It would be more interesting if this version of reality became MORE stable as time went on, rather than the inverse, which is typical for narratives.
If there’s energy or whatever feeding into it, then having the new reality increase in stability over time would make sense (with a deadline after which it becomes completely dominant, naturally, in order to put time pressure on our protagonists).
what if, it’s the real Chiron, and he’s been place into her body by mercury? it would explain the memory of the afterlife and his confusion at walking the earth again.
That’s what I would assume too. Not really changed history, just little memory patches. Now, did Merkur specifically pushed Chiron into Miranda, or was it random and there are confused gods all around?
My hope is she gets her memories back… but still keeps the horsebutt. 😛

Oh the nature of comic stories, given this isn’t a one-shot universe, demands that Anne and co get things back to the previous normal, (normal is what the majority agree upon is the status quo)… so that’s standard issue. What I hope for is a what if story where a parallel reality is created where this IS the status quo.
Will it be the full comic on patron o will it just be a single page of this comic?
The early comics will be whole comics, not just single panels or lines of panels… well except for the comic in two weeks which is just one big panel (spoiler!)… but that’ll be the same comic posted on the main page anyway!
Man, because of that comic about the hair… I just can’t un-see that now whenever we see Anne.

It’s part of the Glamour lesson Anne mentioned last page. Specifically, Lesson 1: how to identify and counter an active glamour, because you don’t start messing with magic you don’t know how to stop.
Except reincarnation is part of Greek faith, those who made it to Elysium could reincarnate to prove worthy of inhabiting the Isles of the Blessed. So Miranda has a very easy patch to clear this continuity bug.

Why is Miranda so confused? Reincarnation was PART of Greek faith. Those who made to Elysium had the choice to return to the world of the living twice over to prove themselves worthy of the Isles of the Blessed. So why should she be confused? It’s obvious she was just reborn into her current incarnation. Seriously, it a very easy to fix continuity bug.
Reincarnation is not returning to the same life. It’s a whole new life. Whole new set of experiences and memories.
If Chiron is remembering who he is, there’s a problem.
It still provides a way out of the connive dissonance and an excuse.
