News for April 2009:

Anne 4/18/2009 First of all, thank you again to Decaf for the wild trip following the strangely powerful yet still helpless Kelly the Scrunchie. Quite epic there! And definitely unpredictable. :)

As the update indicates, something else is now brewing at The Wotch. Artist Ian Samson has graciously found time to share with us a Wotch special. For this special, we will be updating 3 times a week again! Though this is temporary, it's still exciting to do so. There are three weeks plus of story, and each will be posted on time for sure! As stated, this special arc will give Robin and I some time to hopefully get a little ahead and back into the groove for our resuming the normal updates. Spread the word, and hold on to your hats!
Anne 4/7/2009 Hello, everyone. Anne here.

First of all, thank you ALL very much for your patience during this hiatus. You've all been very supportive and kind, especially in sending e-mails and well-wishes. I really appreciate it.

I realize I haven't been the most transparent about the whole process of what's been going on, so allow me a little bit of a health update: My elbow was pretty unstable after the accident. It actually needed to be set TWICE because it became dislocated again after the first setting. But thankfully I've been out of the splint for a while now, as well as the sling (which I was to wear for several more weeks even after the splint was off just to be safe.) Now it's a matter of regaining mobility and full motion, so I've been taking physical therapy for a few weeks now.

The good news is it's working. While extending my arm is still a problem, bending it is getting much better much faster. The bad news is it still gets achy during/after drawing even for a relatively short while. Maybe it's because I hold the pencil "wrong." Maybe it's because of how the muscles tense when I'm concentrating. I'm not sure, but it's becoming apparent that it might just have to be something I work through.

So, what about The Wotch? Well, Robin already updated you a little. There are a couple more pieces from the wacky adventures of the scrunchie coming from Decaf. (In fact I think one is supposed to be posted right now...I'll talk to Robin when he gets in. ;) ) After that, there is possibly another filler series coming, the author/artist of which I'll keep secret for now. If this happens, I will be taking the time to draw and hopefully get ahead in the comic, as well as the bonus pics for April and March. If the filler series is delayed to a later time, then we'll play it by ear, so to speak.

Either way, the return to form will not be too much longer. Life is very, very busy for both Robin and myself, but we're both itching to get back to the story, too. The break has been good, for multiple reasons, but don't worry. It won't last. :)

Thanks again for your patience and support.

Robin 4/1/2009 Yes yes, this was my attempt at an April Fools Joke. I'd drawn this comic just for a filler before Anne started up again. I changed my original text a little to make it less obviously a filler.

Anne's arm is bothering her a little still, but it's gotten a lot better. She's been doing physical therapy to strengthen it.

Decaf has 2 more filler's lined up to finish his series and hopefully real story comics will pick up after that!
