I was criticized a bit for Monday's comic. Some thought it was too heavy on the Naruto references. The fact is that while this three part deal is rich with references to my favorite anime, I never intended it to be necessary to be familiar with the series to enjoy these comics. Take a step back, and rather than thinking, "Aw, man, in-jokes," just enjoy the surface. The "in" stuff is nothing but a bonus. It's not the meat of the story, here. Demon Cassie rocks. [less]

So much I liked about this comic! First thing, coloringwise, Anne's boots are dark gray. Normally I make her footware a lighter purple, but that really didn't fit well with this. Next thing, DemonCassie went through a couple color schemes before I decided on this one. Not really sure why I chose the brownish color, but it just seemed to fit.

Anne had said that orignally, she was going to chose a dragon for the creature that Kirk summoned, I'm happy she went with this! Oh and I could easilly see Robin as the medical ninja, just seems to fit. [less]
